HOW FIT WORKS

The Ontario Power Authority has developed a new Feed-In Tariff (FIT) program to replace the old RESOP program. FIT contracts guarantee high rate buyback terms for solar energy with standardized rules and prices that are dramatically higher than standard market rates and almost double that of the former buyback rates. With the FIT program ramped up and now accepting applications small and large businesses based in Ontario will enjoy the highest rates of return on solar energy in North America.

FIT is open to all individuals, businesses and industry connected in Ontario, and 20 year secure pricing contracts are now available with a streamlined approvals process to start generating profit as soon as your solar installation is installed and connected. An aggressive and pro-active transmission and distribution grid expansion is also under way to complement new solar production. FIT is, quite simply, an easier and more profitable way for you to contract renewable energy production.
